American Dream Mall

American Dream Mall

With museum scale interiors, six unique atriums flooded with natural light and an indoor ski slope, the American Dream Mall in East Rutherford, N. J. is fast becoming a tourist destination to rival its corporate sister, the Mall of America in Minneapolis, MN.

In 2017 a significant expansion of the Mall to accommodate over 500 stores and entertainment venues was begun with a construction projected completion date by the end of 2019 or early 2020.

When the expansion is finished the American Dream Mall will offer over 4.8 million square feet of space for shops and entertainment.

Due to its location adjacent to the marsh lands of Secaucus, NJ, extremely poor soil conditions dictated a structure that had an extremely light dead load, allowed for maximum free span open space construction and was able to achieve required fire safety codes.

Over 60,000 cubic yards of Solite® structural lightweight concrete will be incorporated into the steel frame structure when it is completed.
