The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia features a lovely elevated green space plaza that connects various buildings and needed renovation. Solite® engineered soil was selected for trees, plants, and flower beds. Solite® geofill was used as the bedding for pavers.
Virtua Hospital
Voorhees, NJ
This unique and modern mid-rise hospital was completed in 2010. Using over 4,000 cubic yards of Solite® concrete to achieve enhanced fire ratings and larger column-free bays, the hospital combines both the functions of a traditional hospital and a wellness center. Placed in a campus-like setting, the attractive modern facility provides every patient a room with large windows for an exterior view.
Doylestown Hospital
Doylestown, PA
Solite® was chosen for significant development of this hospital, which expanded the emergency room complex, cancer center, and the patient long-term care pavilion. The hospital’s expansion nearly doubled its size. Solite® was specified in order to achieve a four-hour fire rating for the floors and ceilings.
